Just got back in to Altamira. Wow! What an experience! I must have taken 10,000 photographs. I'm going to wait until I get home to post the images because the connection here is pretty slow. Here's an image Jim took of me with some Brazilian kids. They love to chimp too! We have one day here in Altamira then its off for the long trip home. I hope I find my luggage somewhere along the way :) I love you Julie. Can't wait to see you and puppy (Aidan) soon!

Cool! Can't wait to see the images and hear all about that trip!
What did Julie think of you taking off to such a remote part of the world like that?

Mike - just wanted to say hi, and tell you I love your work, your dedication and love for your family (that is very apparent from your posts), and your love for the Lord. I'm a photographer, a mom and a Christian as well, and I find you very inspiring. For me, it's all about capturing the emotion of a moment and who people really are, and it seems that's what you're all about too. I recently started a photo blog, for my business, and I also have a personal blog. I hope it's not too presumptous, but here are the links, if you're curious:

Reading all your posts, I see that you're a friend of Gary Fong -- I'm actually going to my first Gary Fong seminar tonight up in San Francisco.

Anyhow, just wanted to say hi, tell you I've added your site to my blogrolls, and that I think you're a great photographer...I'm defenitely thinking about trying to get to one of your seminars soon. Do you think you'll be in the Bay Area any time soon? (I live in Santa Cruz.) If so, I'd love to attend one of your workshops. I actually just booked my first celebrity wedding, and am feeling a bit intimidated. I know you've shot celebrities before, so if you have any tips, I'd love to hear them. I know you're crazy-busy though, so I understand if you don't write back. =)
