What an amazing week! This group of photographers is the best! I am having so much fun sharing with them in class and shooting with them on the beach! Here's a couple shots from today. Tomorrow, we're on a field trip to Hollywood with the models for another fun day of shooting! I'll post again when I can with more images. The images in this post were taken by the wonderful Kristin Shaparenko! Thanks Kristin! Also a BIG thanks to our models Sarah, Aaron, and Jasmine! I'll be posting shots of you guys very soon! And thank you Living Cinema for the awesome job of filming you are doing for the upcoming DVD!

Thanks to Garrett Nudd for the cool shots he took of me above! I will put them to good use :) And below are some great shots of our models from Nathan Holritz. There is so much amazing talent in this group. I can't wait to post more images from the others too!

This class is amazingly awesome. Thanks Mike for putting it on. I am learning an incredible amount and I can already see drastic improvement in my photography skills. Not only that, I am having such fun in this class that I will be sad when it is over. What an unbelievable learning experience!!! I am soooo happy that I signed up for the class. For those who are signed up for his March class -- get ready for an awesome experience.

Ditto that Jim! You rock Mike! Thanks for doing this...it's obvious you're stoked about photography in a way that your interest in our success is genuine and that it comes from a passion for sharing. I hope you'll get to see what your influence is gonna do for each and every one of us! :)

What a great image of all of the photographers lined up shooting at the beach, makes you think some celebrity is on the other end somewhere. Sounds like the class was awesome, I will have to look out for the DVD

Mike, Mike, Mike…what can we say?
I just finished putting the kids to bed (what a pleasure that was, you should have seen their faces and reactions when I got home…priceless, missed my wife so much too). Nothing any of us put down into words will ever capture what you did for all of us. You are a giant in the photo industry but more importantly, you are a giant human being! We will never be able to thank you enough for giving so much of yourself while holding nothing back. There is so much we learned from what you had prepared beforehand, but we also learned tons from your impromptu thought sharing. I feel like my potential has no limits because of you, but honestly I feel like a better person just because I was able to share a week of your life. It has meant so very much to me and I feel blessed to have been enlightened by you on so many other things in life. You have prepared us for today and now, but you have also given us tools that we will use for the rest of our lives.
It has been said many times that you are the real deal. I couldn’t agree more but feel that even this is an understatement to what you really are. Brides across the country will be in better hands because of you. The whole industry, all of us, and our families will benefit as well.
I went in with the highest expectations, and knew we would all learn a lot. It far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. We went for the Mike Colon workshop and instead we got the Mike Colon experience. I think you should even market it that way, “Let Mike share his life and wisdom with you, your life will never be the same afterwards”.
We all produced images that will change our portfolios immediately, but the lasting effects this week will have can never be measured.
If I was younger and didn’t have a family I would offer to work with you for free. What you give to those around you could never have a price tag put on it, and any salary would just be a bonus. I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say that if you ever need a second I am there. Just get the client to cover travel expenses and I will sleep on the floor if I have to.
Like you said, the group was also a very important part in all of this. I am so proud of all of you and feel honored to have you as friends/family. Some of us have been friends for a while, and some of us have just officially met. What we have between us is special and something I really appreciate. I look forward to growing together and sharing our futures.
Like Luke said, I too did not want to spend a lot of time posting images while we were together. I would have if I could work the magic that Nathan and some of the others have in their post-production, but that isn’t really what is important. The most important thing is what we have as a group, and we are all so very happy that you are such a big part of that group now.
…And oh, by the way, for everyone else waiting for the review of the seminar…
All I can say is don’t put it off any longer. You will be happy you did it!
