I just got back from Dayton, Ohio where I gave a talk for Professional Photographers of Ohio for the MidEast Regional Convention. I want to give a special thanks to Pictage Inc. and PPO for supporting me out there. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed getting to know the photographers out there. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I'm back at home now about to head out to an evening service at my church (The Cornerstone). Tomorrow morning I'll be filming some clips for my new DVD coming out next month then driving up to Santa Barbara for my 3-day workshop. It's going to be an awesome week!!

I just want to say thanks to Mike for sharing himself (not just his knowledge) with us in
Dayton this past weekend. I’m up early this morning, and already planning implementing some of what he shared with us. When I think about wedding photography and what it should be, the first thing that comes to mind is Mike Colon's work.

I have to say that your talk at PPO this past weekend was amazing! I have a lot of passion for my photography and to create the very best for my friends and clients, but I have always worried about it. Now I know that I am ready to jump in over my head and swim to the top! Thanks Mike for you time and your passion!

Oh how funny that you were in Dayton Ohio.... that is where I went to college and met Jessica Strickland my best friend... also a roommate... you met her at the Jay Leno show. Actually you met all my roommates that night... how funny that you went to the city we all met and lived at for 2 years. And you went to my home state. How was the weather? Did you like that cold? LOL
Mike, my heartfelt gratitude for your inspiring discussion at PPO (the first convention of its kind for me). I must confess that my thinking was so short term. After six years on location only, I am opening my first studio, and I actually debated on whether to spend $90 to have a weekend in Dayton. After your talk, I laughed as I eagerly wrote a check for your one hour DVD. And to think, it doesn't even come with popcorn! A wise investment I'm sure ...and now I'm over my head and swimming to the top! God bless you and your family!
