This image is posted by special request of Shyla. She's been begging me every day to put this shot on the blog. So this is just for you Shyla! This image was taken by the very talented and extremely cool Daria Bishop at my workshop in Pittsburgh for TPA during a demonstration of my latest approach in photojournalism called "The Tomahawk". Please don't try this at home! This technique is only acceptable deep in the woods of Pennsylvania when you are having way too much fun and have consumed far too many Caramel Frappuccinos. If anyone from Nikon sees this, please don't worry... the cameras were built for this exact use.Wednesday, May 10, 2006

Mike, this has got to be one of the funniest images I've ever seen!!! You got jumps, man.
Believe it or not, we've got a wedding coming up in June in Pennsylvania at a lake in the woods. I'm gonna try this same move, but I've got a feeling it won't be nearly as impressive.
Julie and Ayden must be so proud. ;-)
The comment above was Garrett.
This is me now....JOY :)
You can't have too many caramel frappuccinos....or vanilla bean frap....
ANYWAY! Were you at Reeders, PA? We'll be there in June :)
No way!!! You are true Ninja! That is freakin awesome!!!

Hooray!!! Thanks Mike,I am so excited!
Its true, I have been begging...but its the coolest shot EVER! And trust me, I know when I see a really good shot because I've been trained by the master himself! ;)
haha i love this shot Mike!!! sooooo you!! hehe. Shyla...great call!! ;)
Saweet pic.
did that have some'thin to do with a tampoline maybe?
i'd say a double bounce !
I'm with G-Money...funniest I've EVER seen! :)
Awesome Mike! Thanks Shyla.
I'm still trying to figure out where you are coming from and where you are going to?
The trampoline was a good guess, is it right?
Really awesome!!
Awesome! I'm proud to say that I know Daria! I guess that makes me famous by association. Mike, the Pittsburgh workshop was awesome and thanks for taking the time out to do it. And now that we all know the "other side" of Mike, we can safely replace his name any place we see "chuck Norris." Example: "Chuck Norris, er, I mean Mike Colon doesn't sleep...he waits!"
Ah, Michael-San... You have mastered the technique of "flying Nikon side kick!" You may now graduate to "Robot Pose" as demonstrated by Zen-Master Gary Fong.
Years of practice is necessary young Michael-San to achieve true enlightenment with the Robot Pose. Do not give up!
:)

Now this is hilarious. This Goes to show you've got to bug out to maintain your sanity.
Are you off your crutches yet?
No, Jim, he wasn't on crutches...he was in a wheelchair. :)

Trampoline? No. But what was it that launched this crouching tiger/hidden dragon so high in the air? Ancient Chinese secret!
Able to leap tall wedding cakes with a single bound... Can't wait to see some of the other shots from the Pittsburgh workshop (which was of course uber awesome!) :o)
Mike, you never fail to crack me up! That shot belongs on your studio wall (11x14 at least). So next time clients come over you can say "I'm a photographer with ninja photo SKILLZ"
Happy very belated birthday, btw!!!
Freakin' awesome! ;)
Hey Mike, did you see Jim Cook's new avatar on the forum?? He's a "Mike Colon Impersonator"!! sooo funny!! ;)
That is just too funny!! And it gets even better once viewing Jim's avatar.
That is hilarious:) You're like a little kid needing to be lunged.
Can't wait to see some of your awesome photos from our crazy adventures in Pittsburg! Exciting news...I have joined the world of blogging! Check it out if you ever get a moment. :)
