What an amazing start to an amazing month! I am so proud to say that Nikon just added me to their permanent archive of "Legends Behind the Lens" on the Nikon website! I still can't believe they picked me and I somehow feel undeserving of the title with so many talented photographers out there shooting Nikon! Praise God for this awesome blessing! I'll be featured on the NikonNet.com homepage for the entire month of June! CLICK HERE to read the article!

Also, this week I'm teaming up with my buddy Ray Santana (an amazing photographer based in Miami) to photograph this cool wedding in France! Check out the itinerary below... I'm so excited!
Taken from Judith and Michel's wedding homepage:
Friday, June 9th
We plan to kick off the weekend festivities with a sunset boat ride along the famous Cote d’Azur on Friday evening. We will set sail from the famous port of Monaco, along the coast to Menton, passing the peninsula of Roquebrune Cap Martin for an unforgettable view of the French Riviera from the sea.
Following the cruise, we will have dinner at a local restaurant, one of the oldest in Menton, featuring traditional Mediterranean Mentonnaise Cuisine.
Saturday, June 10th Saturday is the big day!
For those who would like to visit the Principality of Monaco, there will be a private morning tour of the Royal Palace, Gardens, Port, Jacques Cousteau Museum and of course the world famous Casino of Monte Carlo. For those who prefer to sit back and relax in Menton, there is the beach and the old city center waiting to be explored.
The wedding ceremony begins at 5 o’clock in the afternoon and will be held at St. John’s Church in Menton. Immediately following the ceremony we will have a reception dinner at Mirazur, then on to Plage Napleon to dance the rest of the night away on the beach by moonlight.
Sunday, June 11th
Sunday will take us across the border to Dolceacqua, Italy, a short drive away, for a good old traditional Italian style lunch to cure the hangovers and fill the bellies before we bid au revoir and bon voyage!

WOW! What an awesome honor! You are the best choice and are so deserving. You are truely an inspiration to the industry, not only for your photography but for your faith in God. Congratulations! Miss you and Southern California!
Sure, you deserve it! After all, they called me first and I said, "No, I think you ought to call Mike Colon. Everything I know I learned from him!"
Have fun in France. Meanwhile, I shot a wedding this past Saturday where the bride was bigger than all of yours put together.
Congrats Mike!i saw it on the nikon site on friday night i was going to call you and tell you about it but you beat me to it. See you in Monaco....Nikon baby....
Awesome Mike! I agree with everyone - you totally deserve it!
Thanks guys!!! You are all too kind!! I'm going to go put on my Mexican pro wrestling mask now to keep my head from swelling :)
Very very cool, my friend. God is smiling, I'm sure of it. Make sure the mask has metal rivets at the seems. I've used the kind with nylon threading and they don't work as well in subduing the head-swell.
Da-da!

Okay, "Nacho Libre", maybe we'll see you wrestle someday soon! :) Congrats, Mike!
Mike,
If you do hit the WWF circuit be sure to adopt the name "Senor Colon" besides your already a legend in the eyes of so many little one's that will remember you forever. For real, think about that song "Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was saved" old song but so powerful. You've given so much to save so many lives so far with Thirst Relief International. I guess nikon's recognition of your legend is just an added bonus!!!!
God bless.
Jim
very cool article too.
Hooray Mike!!! Congratulations!
I am a lil' disappointed though... only because I think Nikon should have put you as the "legend AMONG legends" :)
Mike! Congrats!!! I'm so excited for you!!! shyla, im with you on that...Legend among legends.
The French wedding is going to be amazing!! Good luck!
have fun!!!
That's so awesome Mike! Congratulations!
