Man, this is harder than I thought! I'm gonna fake it and change the date stamp to say Tuesday so it looks like I didn't miss a post. Is that bad?
It's super late and I need to drive home still. My wife has been an angel these past few days because she hasn't been giving me a hard time for working late. She has two good reasons for letting me slide. First, I'm taking half of tomorrow off for our appointment to find out the gender of our baby! We are so excited!!! Julie is hoping for a girl and I'm kinda on the fence. I know that if it's a girl I will be leaping for joy because I MUST have a girl to spoil and protect. Plus, if she looks anything like my Julie, she's going to be gorgeous! If it's a boy, I'll still be leaping for joy because I'll be thinking about the future with my two boys taking off and going camping together. I'll take them snowboarding, surfing, hiking, mountain climbing, paintballing, and all of those fun things dads can do with their boys that girls might not be into. Plus, if it's a boy.. then we're for sure trying for a girl next time which will force us to have 3 kids which is good because I've always wanted at least 3 kids. Part of me is afraid that if we have a girl we'll get too comfortable and content and stop at 2, which actually doesn't sound too bad anymore.
Oh, so the other reason Julie isn't calling me every five minutes to come home is because we're leaving for a family vacation to Hawaii on Friday. This means I have to get completely caught up with important things before I leave. There is so much to do! Tomorrow is pretty much shot because I know instead of working we'll be celebrating and go shopping for baby clothes or something. Thursday is completely full as well with meetings and a Pictage Webinar I'm doing with like 200 people via telephone and WebEx. It's going to be fun but it's taking up like half of my day. So to make a long story longer... I'll be here late nights this week plugging away at emails and last minute loose ends. I'll be back tomorrow to announce the gender of our baby! Pray for a girl! No, pray for a boy! Ok, I guess you don't have to pray at all.. let's just see what God picked for us :)

Good Luck today! I can't wait to hear. Coming from having 3 boys myself, I know you will be tickled pink regardless! God is good :-)
Well good news all the way around...you can take your boy or girl on all of those fun adventures...girls love outdoorsy adventures too! The adorable part is already a given in your family. I'll spend my energy praying for a healthy baby for you. :)
Have a wonderful day!!
Three little girls in my house. I have planted thorn bushes under each window. There's a 17-foot-high razor-fence lining the perimeter. Couldn't find a general contractor with experience building moats, so I now own a Bobcat dirt mover thingy. Hey, a bobcat, . . . not a bad idea.
Boys, Mike, think boys.
mike, been there done that. now i have 3 boys under the age of 5 in my house! :-)
regardless of gender - it is such a blessing - best wishes!

Ah! How exciting! Can't wait to hear! Sounds as though things have been crazy. Shyla's scare story was hysterical.
We'll see you all at Partnercon!
Mike,
Boy or girl, you and your wife will be blessed! Wishing you both the best,
Michelle
mike,
if you think that two sounds tempting now, just wait til you have two! of course just about the time your second gets to be around 2+ you'll be thinking "we could do this again!" it never stops. it's a viscious cycle!
talk soon.

p.s. i have some really exciting news and on top of that we just got a $600 a month donor for Thirst. we only need like $1500 more in collective monthly donors to reach our current project needs and the rest will be EXPANSION!!
Oh I can't wait to hear ... how excitting for Julie, you and Aiden! I'm sitting here trying to work with my little girl and boy are here at my feet drawing and I'm thinking ... three? three? Wow ... now that would really be wild!!! I'll pray for healthy! ;-)
And as for Hawaii ... Right on! I'm envious ... we've been wanting to take the kids for a while now ... I can't wait to see some pic!
Many Blessings to you guys. This has nothing to do with your post, but I read this today and I felt compelled to share it with you...
"If we have never had the experience of taking our commonplace religious shoes off our commonplace religious feet, and getting rid of all the undue familiarity with which we approach God, it is questionable whether we have ever stood in His presence. The people who are flippant and familiar are those who have never yet been introduced to Jesus Christ. After the amazing delight and liberty of realizing what Jesus Christ does, comes the impenetrable darkness of realizing Who He is." Oswald Chambers
Mike!! you know that whatever God decides to give you guys will be another amazing experience! :)
Hope it went well!!! talk to you soon!
