God is good! Thank you Lord for...

giving me life
my beautiful wife Julie
our adorable son Aidan
our gorgeous new healthy baby Logan (photos coming soon!)
our loving families
my mom's latest promising scan results
our health
our amazing friends
your generous provision
your forgiveness

Without you Lord, I am nothing. I know some day I may lose one or more of the above things (except the last). Please help me never to take them for granted!

My word for the year is 'perspective'. I am looking to trade in my mottled, often-selfish perspective for that of Christ's. Your post is very much in line with that...everything in that list could go except for His forgiveness. Rock on!

Mike,
Thank you for your "Thankful" list. It puts things into perspective and give a gentle nudge as to which things we really need to focus on being thankful for. Congrats on your new healthy son, and blessings on your wife Julie and her recovery.

Congratulations! They say a new understanding of God's love is found in becoming a parent.

I stumbled upon your site and am surprised and delighted to hear you acknowledge God's goodness so openly. My name is Kameron and I am currently a photography student at the Hallmark Institute of Photography. During my studies, I've been wrestling with how the business of self-promotion or marketing mixes with personal humility and generousity. In my mind, they sometimes seem oppposed to each other. Perhaps you have thought through some of these issues. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have. Thanks!

Mike, I liked your work. We have somewhat similar styles, both in photography and, apparently, music.

May Christ bless you with the fullness of the knowledge of His love. Serve Him with a whole heart.
