1st Annual MC-GTG, Las Vegas 2008!
I'm calling it... the 1st Annual Mike Colón Get Together (MC-GTG) - Las Vegas during WPPI 2008. The invite will go out to all who have been to my 4-Day Intensive. Let's hear some ideas on how to make it a party for the history books!

Mike - How about a Hollywood style gift bag with panerai's for everyone in attendance! Ok, maybe that is a little extreme. I love the idea though. It would be great to see everyone and meet all the other people who have attended. Depending on the amount of time, some ideas may include:
- Meet and Greet along with team photo scavenger hunt.
- Poker tourney (we would enough player for multiple tables and it's a MC workshop staple).
Take it easy and if anything else comes to mind I will let you know.

That sounds like a great idea. How about a road trip to the Hoover Dam for a photoshoot with a model followed by lunch/dinner and then a poker tournament at night?!

Love the gift bag idea!! Panerai may just want to sponsor this. Every wedding photographer should own one, seriously! Ok, so I'll start contacting sponsors to see what kind of give-away's we can drum up. I think this should be a charity event with proceeds going to Thirst Relief. We'll have a raffle and giveaways and a grand prize for the winner of the poker tourny. I think a field trip with models or some kind of photo scavenger hunt would be cool. This could be an all day event held a day before WPPI kicks off. We'll get the party started early!
regarding Becker shirtless... um, I think that would be a bit of a distraction for the girls. Besides Becker is way too modest for a stunt like that. Jasmine... you need to calm your hormones girl. haha! j/k. I will definitely bring in the ringers for the poker tourny. It's always nice when we get some celebrity guest appearances. We need a theme... ideas anyone?
How about custom poker chips with our logos! BTW I asked them for it today, so expect a call! Also, keep in mind we need a poker 101 table for some of us. lol
Seriously I think this is a brilliant idea. Just for the opportunity to meet others who have attended your workshops and hang out with those we did the workshop with would rock. Perhaps Kenny can give us a Photoshop Collage 101 class.
One more thing how about a bridal shoot in the desert, kind of like the Nikon Joe McNally Speed of Light DVD.
This will be awesome! Let me know if you need any planning help Mike. Heck, maybe you can get Nikon to throw in a D3 with a 200 2.0 VR Lense! Just and idea. hahaha
BTW - I think the Thirst Relief Idea is great!

We should do shirts for this. I can be in charge of ordering them. I have a local vendor that will give us a good deal.

Wait! I have another idea! How about We all go to the spa at Caeser's Palace and DJ can demonstrate massage technique!

Mike that sounds like a great idea! It would be great to see everyone and catch up! I like the Model idea and making a day out of it. Can't wait!

Awesome, I'll figure out the dates and start putting together the evite. Any more ideas are welcome here.. I'll check back here often during the planning process.
i just thought of a good idea...invite me! ;-D after all, I think pittsburgh was 4 days and it was definitely intensive.
