When in Romans...

...be sure to read 8:38-39. For I am convinced that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things
to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created
thing, will be able to separate is from the love of God, which is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.

As some of you know, my mom has cancer. Please pray for her as she
endures another round of chemo this week.

"From the Love of God" powerful words. Mike Psalm 23:4 says that even at our darkest hour, God is with us. I and I know many others, will stand with you and claim the truth from John 14:14.

Love always

Mike- I have adopted those verses as a personal reminder. It would be inpossible to endure if not for the unyielding love of Christ. Our God is big enough. And he is a healing God. I will be praying for your mom. Please keep us posted. In Christ. -David

Thank you for sharing. I work as a nursing student intern at Huntsman Cancer Hospital in SLC, UT and share your passion for photography. One of the verses of scripture that has been one of my favorites since I was a child and has been a great source of strength in my life is "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.” (Helaman 5:12; See also St. Matthew 7:24-25). Christ is our rock and a sure foundation through all difficult times we may face in our lives and His love is everlasting. I will keep your mother in my prayers.

Mike,

I am sorry to hear your Mom is dealing with cancer. It is something that reaches so far and really has an impact on the entire family. I lost my step-mother to cancer a few years back, so I can completely sympathize with what you all must be going through. Needless to say your Mom and family is in our thoughts and prayers. All I can say is to keep your head high and be as supportive as possible. If there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to let me know. We wish you all the best. - Jason

I will pray for your mom. She is blessed to have a son who is in the Word and encouraging prayers on her behalf. God is so faithful to His children, and in times of need we really can see His fingerprints even more clearly. My son is 8 and has been battling cancer for almost 3 years, last week we found out that there is no more tumor. After chemo and gamma knife radiation we heard some awesome words last week from his doctor. We praise God for walking through our journey with us, ever present and ever faithful, the Redeemer of my soul.

Mike I am so terribly sorry to hear about your Mom... I immediately thought of Psalm 91... it helps me when I feel afraid or small or helpless or just not sure about anything... I will pray for your Mother and also for you to have the words to say to comfort her during this time... I pray that the Presence of the Lord will be ever close during this time.

In Christ,
Julia

Mike,

I lost my mother to cancer 10 years ago right after Matt and I were married. You are doing the right thing by staying close to God and reading his word the bible. Only Jehovah God can give us the strength to go on and endure. You and your mother are in our prayers.
