I love the La-vie staff in Aoyama, Tokyo
I miss the La-vie staff in Tokyo so much that I searched for their blog today to see if I could find out if they miss me too. Based on the title of their blog post, I think the feelings are mutual. They were so much fun and even though they spoke mainly Japanese, they tried to make me feel at home by speaking English. I hope to go back soon! The image is from my Tokyo lecture and live shoot. What a great experience!P.S. Someone please help me interpret what they said about me.. I'm dying to know!

mr.colon, who is the most trusted and demanded wedding photographer in
the world, held a seminar in tokyo.
without saying, this professional photographer that professional
photographers admire has the great skills in photography.
but his charming personality is what he got by nature.
you can't help being captivated by him! and it would be the same for
the photographic object, too.
even though the staffs at tokyo brunch shop spoke poor english, he
still said "you are all pretty and your english is pretty good as well."
he is even good looking.
photography in kanji "写真" means trace out the truth.
"truth" indicates the photographic object, and the photographer
himself as well.
his works tell us that.

Thanks also to my brother Reggie in Japan!

I will post some fun videos and pics soon so check back ok?
It looks like my awesome translator Kaori is working overtime because she sent me a translation. Here is what she wrote:
Happy Holidays Mike!
so i saw your blog, and you asked for some translation on the la-vie blog about you... didnt really know how to post this on your web so hotmail will have to do...
it says:
first of all, please visit Mike Colon's home page at...
The most trusted, and the most valued wedding photographer in the world came to our city to perform a seminar for us.
The professional that is admired by professionals...Mike's top level shooting skills are beyond words, but more than anything his natural personality is what makes him stand out among others...it is something that cannot be achieved by effort.
In fact it is very hard not to like Mike from the first time you meet him. His subjects cannot help but open their hearts to him.
He complimented the La-vie Tokyo staff saying "you guys are very pretty, and also speak very good englilsh" ( I think). He is very good looking too.
The way "photography" is written in japanese, it means "reflect" the "truth(or reality)". It seems that the photography not only "reflects" the "truth" of the subject, but that of the photographer as well.
This is especially apparent in Mike's images.
