Aperture 2 Released!!
It's like my birthday has come early this year! Apple just released the new and greatly improved Aperture 2! I am proud to be on the Aperture Advisory Board and have had the privilege of being a part of this new version. One thing about this experience that really blows me away is how closely Apple has listened to us through this process. They have exceeded my expectations in every way! The most significant improvements are in it's speed (it's so fast!!), it's new RAW processor, and the entirely new simplified and intuitive interface. Man, I was so stoked to get the Aperture email today. I have been looking forward to this and checking all the Apple Insider blogs to try to find out when it was coming.
I am really glad we had some innovative pros in on the upgrade. Thanks for going to bat for us. I have been using Aperture for almost 2 years and love it but the new stuff should enhance it all the more. I'll get going using it tomorrow and post a review about it soon.

Great to see Apple is getting active feedback from our part of the industry and are listening. Have been trying Aperture 2 out for the last couple of hours and it is very sweet-Leon
I totally agree with you. Aperture 2 is awesome and it is what the doctor ordered.
It is fast too. I had almost given up on Aperture but I must say that they did it right.
For me, Aperture has always been the right workflow tool for me. But its clunkiness and slowness spite of running it on a MacPro was depressing. Until now...
New tools, sleek interface and speed. That is the ticket!!

Just in time, just this past weekend I was testing LR. This is great! The speed is amazing and the editing tools are brilliant. Love v.2.

I have been a Lightroom user until now. I am working with the Aperture 2.0 version and am EXTREMELY impressed with Apple's work here! I knew they would make this application rock. It is BLAZING fast and more intuitive to use. I am loving it. I think I may be changing the workflow.
I have been playing with AP2 for a week now, and I am in love!!! Apple did a great job.
Today I purchase the upgrade and bye bye Lightroom.
