Missing my iPhone and MacBook Pro
I can't remember the last time I was without a cell phone. I can't remember the last time I was without my laptop either. Right now, I'm without both at the same time! I lost my iPhone while shooting a wedding last weekend at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. When I got home, my laptop screen started freaking out and I had to send it out for repairs. I should get it back on Friday and I'll be in line at the Apple store waiting to get my hands on the new iPhone 3G as well. Friday will be a good day :)
Oh yeah! Wow! Let me just tell you how cool the bride and groom are! They found out that I lost my phone and sent a gift card in the mail for not one, but two new iPhone G3's! Thanks Melanie and Mohamed! You will have a direct line again to reach me 24/7 :)
Has anyone seen Us Weekly yet? I think Timbaland and Monique's wedding will be in the next issue so check it out. I'm going to attempt to get approval on some more images to post on the blog and website so keep an eye out for those soon!
Have a great Wednesday and don't forget to spend some time doing something you really enjoy today! I'm starting my day with some Jiu Jitsu training with my bro and reading a chapter in "Bringing up Boys" by Dr. James Dobson. I'll be ending my day with a date night with Julie. Any suggestions on where to take her? Last week we went to the batting cages. Can you believe she had never stepped into a batting cage in her life? I told her to go into the 50 mph cage and found out that it was marked wrong and was really like 85 mph! Poor girl!

Sorry to here about the phone and laptop. I can feel your pain. As for the date night I would suggest a helicopter ride over the city. They always seem to be fun for Michelle and I.
sweet! can i have your other iphone :o)
look forward to seeing pics!
Stop in at The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center is a museum you can't miss. With lofty skylights and original architecture, it is one of the best museums in Los Angeles. Getty stores a multitude of art, sculpture and photographs from Europe and America. You can also check out old manuscripts and decorative arts here. Highlights of the year consist of Italian Manuscripts from the Middle Ages and Renaissance, Rembrandt's Late Religious Portraits and Shrine and Shroud: Textiles in Illuminated Manuscripts, to name a few. Its Central Gardens and popular restaurant, which are sure to leave you breathless with their beauty
maybe you could follow up the batting cages by hitting up the driving range for the next date. [and tell julie thanks for the 411 on searching for plane tickets to hawaii]
Bringing up Boys...such a great book! I have two boys - ages 4 and 21 months. Definitely a help for me! Enjoy your date night.
I can totally picture Julie in a batting cage. Look of determination - girly swing, and then saying, ARRRGH!
Another GREAT book is "The Wonder of Boys" by Michael Gurian.
Jiu Jitsu? Now THAT I gotta see a video of you in action! =)
hi Mike.....what great clients to hook you back up again. Jiu Jitsu?! Mike tries to do moves on me....it's all about UFC these days. I first heard of it from your brother. It's crazy how popular it's gotten.
You go Julie! 85mph! batting cages are fun. Blessings to you and your family...
That is so cool that they are getting you 2 new iphones.
Every wednesday night I take my wife to Church.
Looking forward to seeing the images.
hahaha poor Julie! I can only see her whiffing at an 85 mph pitch. I bet you were cracking up!
Being without one is hard, but both....well at least it is only one more day.
Just stopping by the site as I do every so often since I "met" you at Master Your Craft in Chicago this past Feb.
Enjoy your date, whatever you do I am sure she will be happy just do it with her husband. That's how I feel about my husband. z
Hola Miguel
jajaja well those are the coolest bride and groom ever mine still debating if he will buy a cd with the pictures for $300 he wants $150 credit for the print as well included in the $300 hahahaha ...can you believe that?
i want to be like you when i grew up! hahaha
My wife and I just went to the batting cages for the first time this week. She was so scared she only swung at a few balls. We both got a kick out of the slow pitch (which seemed like fast pitch to me)
My 19 month old son really wanted to go in the cage after he saw mommy holding a bat.
WOW, how cool is that? I need clients like you. hahaha... but then again, I only decided 2 weeks ago that I want to become a photographer!
Your work is inspiring!
Funny you mention the screen going crazy on the MBP. The same just happened to me a day ago...the screen completely went bonkers on my 15" MacBook Pro. It was like colored snow. Is that similar to yours?
I am so sorry for your loss.
Communication is a bitch! I hate being without it!
I can hardly wait to get my iPhone. In fact, I think I am getting a twitch in my left eye due to the wait. Data north of the 49th. is so expensive though. It bites. We get 6gb for $30 on top of our voice plan.
