whale watching with David Hessemer
Here's a shot I grabbed aboard David Hessemer's boat when he took my family out on a whale watching tour early Sunday morning. Thanks David! We are so blessed to have friends like you! God totally hooked us up and this big daddy whale literally popped up 20 feet behind the boat. Aidan was on my lap so I threw out a no look prayer shot around him with my 70-200mm. I played with it in Aperture and Silver Efex Pro (split tone) to make it look old :)

I'm so glad you got to go out! We went on Saturday morning and had about 5 whales jumping all around us, one of the most amazing things I've seen in my life! Awesome shot!
this should definitely go on a wall somwhere!
Holy snot that's a sweet shot! Wish we could've seen em on Thursday! Racing down flooded roads in lava fields is fun too though. :-)
This shot is exquisite!
Sweeet!
Dang - that is a VERY cool image. Love the split tone effect too - did you also do a little burning/dodging in Silver Efex Pro (definitely one of my favorite software products these days...). Thanks for sharing the image!
