Hawaiian Retreat Wrap Up!
This is much overdue but I wanted to post the winners for the best images at The Mike Colón Experience X Hawaiian Retreat and give a few shout outs to the workshop attendees who I now consider friends and to the wonderful people who helped me make this dream a reality!
First I want to thank my dear friend Mike Mijangos of Mangotree Photography. Without him and his very connected wife Me Shell, this workshop in paradise would have never happened! Mike, you went above and beyond and I'm sure all of the attendees will agree with me when I say you did it with style! We lived like kings for a week! You also were a valuable asset to the group with your lighting and photography skills. Thank you for helping out with instruction and being such a giver all week!
Next I want to thank my assistant Rosanna who was equally responsible for making this workshop a success. In addition to her fine modeling skills (see images below of her with her fiance Jared), she managed the details from concept to completion with a fun and positive attitude.
And last but absolutely not least (because without attendees there is no workshop) I want to thank all of the very cool photographers (and husbands/wives) who came out to spend a week with me. You blessed me more than I can speak of and I pray that God richly blesses your business and families in 2009 and beyond!
Below are some of the winning images from each day's contests. I was extremely impressed with the photographs taken by all of the attendees throughout the week. It was a talented group who I expect to see many great things from over the next couple of years. Enjoy!

Wow Mike, this looks like so much fun. When is the next one? I'm really hoping to make it to one of your workshops this year.
Thank you thank you thank you Mike, Rosanna, Julie, and Mike Mijangos for what was an unforgettable week! The skills we learned and the wisdom we took away from each day made this experience priceless! We had so much fun with everyone at the house and could not be more thankful to have been a part of this workshop! Can we go back to Maui? Please?? We miss everyone! haha. God bless Mike!
Thanks so much Mike for being such a fabulous teacher! I can't wait for the wedding season to start so I can implement what all I learned!

YAY! I can't say enough how wonderful your workshop was Mike, I've been recommending it to everyone! Thank you for your giving heart, your leadership in faith, and the abundant knowledge you shared with all of us! Can't wait to hang again in Vegas and try to kick your butt again at Poker! I was SO CLOSE! ;-) Tell Julie I said hi!
Wild times! I wish I could have been there.
Simply amazing and inspiring. Attendance at one of your workshops is a definite priority for me. When you were here in Miami with Bob Davis I got to see a sample of your teaching skills. Also, at the Pictage conference in 2007. Your DVDs are a good source of practical ideas and techniques. Thanks for being a mentor and sharing the wisdom with us!
Be blessed,
Curtis
