Mike Colon Wedding Photography Giveaway!

Ok, so I've decided to finally do something I've wanted to do for a long time! I'm giving away my services to one deserving couple. I will be accepting applications immediately and will be making my decision based on the following criteria:

1. I must be available on your wedding date (obviously)
2. You (or your fiance) must be working full-time for a charitable non-profit organization
3. Your wedding must be in 2009
4. Applications must be submitted by midnight on May 20th, 2009

Please answer the following questions and email your entry to giveback@mikecolon.com

Q1 You and your fiancé's complete names and contact information
Q2 The date/location/venue for your wedding
Q3 Name of charitable non-profit organization you work for with contact information for verification
Q4 Why are you working for this organization - what does it mean to you?
Q5 Is wedding photography important to you? Why?
Q6 How did you find out about me and this give-away?

Please include in your email entry a photo of you and your fiance so I can post the winning couple on my blog. My decision will be made and announced here on my blog on Friday June 5th, 2009

Good luck!!! I can't wait to bless a great deserving couple out there!

Man.. wish you did this in 2007!!! My husband and I are youth pastors.. What a great idea! Working in a non-profit org. takes a ton of sacrifice.. it's so good to know there are people like you who value hard selfless work. Very impressive of you =) God bless!

Way to go Mike! That's stepping up in a big way and giving somebody a gift that they possibly wouldn't be able to afford otherwise!

amazing! me and my husband work for the non for profit: http://www.himalayaninstitute.org/
we got married in 2004 and could not afford a wedding photographer.
really i understand what non profit means, really no profit.
i do photography for them plus childcare. i am just starting to do wedding and family portraits on the side to raise funds: http://maureencassidyphotography.com/
wishful thinking, but... perhaps some day you can offer something similar to your RAVED about workshops!

thanks for your amazing work!
always inspiring!

Great idea. In these times, you will truly be a blessing to some beatiful couple. Quick question: I am opening an 1800 sq ft recording studio. One of the rooms I plan to use as a rental photography studio. Can you provide advice on what we should provide (i.e. nothing, backdrops, props, etc.)? How should we package this service? What would be a good rate?

cool. this year, i decided to gift wedding photography services. you can't help but think that it just might be the wedding of the year. isn't it amazing to give? the more i do, the more amazing it all becomes. i think i am being 'made' by giving. it's seems as though you can never, ever lose out in giving. may blessings flow (for whomever needs them)...

Good times. I love how everyone is coming together for this. Don't forget, I'll on board as a second shooter. :) Uncle ray said he will take you down next week. Them are fighting words.
