This is cool! Check out the email above from David Powers of GotVMail Communications. How awesome is it that he actually noticed some traffic coming from my blog and sent me this message?! I always talk about giving first without expecting in return at my workshops and this is why! I'll post the finished PR piece when it's done. I just got around to answering the questions they sent me for the write-up.
You have to check out this slideshow that Mark Lydell made from my last workshop! Thanks for sharing Mark!! ***CLICK HERE FOR SLIDESHOW***

I just photographed Katie and John's wedding and WOW! What an amazing couple! They have so much love and energy! I always enjoy my work, but this wedding was so much more! They made me feel like family! and I took this picture so I would never forget the friends I made today. Kristin, Shyla and Jessica Claire came with me to help out and they made it even more fun! Jessica owns her own studio here in Orange County and is an amazing photographer. I was so glad she actually gave up a Saturday to come shoot with me! I'm sure you'll be seeing this wedding in a magazine. Patti McHone, the amazing wedding planner, brought in some ringers for this one... Square Root, Pro Audio & Lighting, and Linda Goldsheft to name a few. I wanted to post more images tonight but I have to run to catch a flight to the East Coast for a workshop. I try to post more images this week from my hotel room.

Here's Aidan at Disneyland devouring a frozen lemonade.
Here's a shot of Sara in Hollywood. I love this shot because it's like she's in mid-thought strolling down the street and she looks amazing even though she's unaware of the camera.

Here's a shot of Karli taken with the D2x in very low light using my 70-200mm VR opened up to 2.8 1/125 sec at 800iso. I printed this on my Epson Pro4800 10"x15" and it looks amazing! I'm so impressed with the D2x in low light conditions.

The other day, while down in Hollywood with a group of photographers for my 4-day Intensive, I grabbed a shot of Tate Donovan... or "Jimmy Cooper" filming a scene for an upcoming episode of Fox's hit show "The OC". I am becoming quite the paparazzi!

A few more shots printed for the engagement sign-in book.. I'll take a picture of it when it's done so you can see the finished book.

I had to post these! This is Jasmine and JD. They modeled for my Newport Beach workshop in February and were so much fun!

This is Katie and John. I shot their engagement session a few weeks back and I'm putting together some shots to go in a custom rustique leather scrap book that I'm designing for their wedding sign-in book. It's turning out so cool! I had these books made by hand for my studio and I burn in my signature logo in the back using a brand I had made by some guy up in Northern California who does cow brands and things of that sort. It's totally bringing me flashbacks of my school days. So much fun! Maybe when it's done I'll take a picture of it and show it off. I shot an awesome wedding on Saturday and I will be posting images of that soon too, right after I get some shots up from my Brooks workshop last week!

Oh yeah.. My new DVD is coming out soon too! I'll put up a preview on my .net site soon!

What an awesome week with some really awesome photographers! I really enjoyed getting to know everyone! We had some great laughs and I know I made some friends for life. We wrapped up our Santa Barbara workshop at the Brooks Institute with one final group shot after a long day of lectures and a fun shoot with Lucy on the Vespa (images coming soon!). The shadowy character in the background is Tri being anti-social. After an awesome dinner at the Montecito Inn with Alice and Tri, our models Lucy and Brittany, Kristin and Dane Sanders, I hit the road back to the OC around 11:30pm. I made it home in less than 2 hours to see my wife and peek in on the boy sleeping.

What an amazing day! After my morning lecture entitled "Building Your Creative Niche", we took our models down to the beach for a fun shoot! The weather was absolutely perfect! My good buddy Tri Huynh (an amazing Photoshop instructor at the Brooks Institute) sacrificed himself from the picture to man the camera. Thanks Tri!
I'm here in my hotel in Santa Barbara after an awesome first day of my 3-day Workshop at Brooks. There are so many talented photographers in the class and they are all so fun! We had a blast today shooting models on the beautiful Montecito campus. I really should be asleep, but I've been up adding some of todays shots to my Keynote for tomorrow. Here's a couple of our very cool model Lucy. I'll try to post a group photo tomorrow.

I just got back from Dayton, Ohio where I gave a talk for Professional Photographers of Ohio for the MidEast Regional Convention. I want to give a special thanks to Pictage Inc. and PPO for supporting me out there. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed getting to know the photographers out there. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I'm back at home now about to head out to an evening service at my church (The Cornerstone). Tomorrow morning I'll be filming some clips for my new DVD coming out next month then driving up to Santa Barbara for my 3-day workshop. It's going to be an awesome week!!

Thirst Relief International has just launched its brand new website! I'm so excited what God is doing to save lives through this awesome charity! I've seen first hand how Thirst operates to save the lives of children in the Amazon. The amazing thing is, it only takes about $50 to provide clean water to a family for generations! Another great thing about Thirst is that 100% of all donations go directly to the cause of providing safe drinking water to those who need it most. It's the organizations intent that all administrative costs are covered by corporate sponsors or grants. In addition, the organization has no paid staff - all of the charity's officers are volunteers! To help them raise funds immediately I will match dollar for dollar any donations you make to Thirst in the month of March (up to $10,000). Make sure you email me a copy of your receipt so I can match it. **CLICK HERE TO DONATE NOW!**
