Master Your Craft Seminar Update - Dallas, TX

THANK YOU DALLAS!
Hello! This is Kenny Kim again reporting one last time for Bob & Mike on their national tour. I had a chance to visit Dallas the day before the event and got to hang out w/ some good friends and visit cool places before the seminar. I will make another post about that sometime soon. What a blast! Folks in Dallas sure didn't disappoint us. Bob & Mike sure know how to mix work & fun together. They work so well together -- I see more workshops with them in the near future. :) We were greeted by warm weather and friendly folks who were eager to learn from the best of the best. Here are some images that highlight yesterday's event (Click on the images to enlarge them):

Unfortunately, my journey stops here. But the good thing is I start shooting weddings again (which is not a bad thing). Bob & Mike still have two more stops to make. Thank you everyone for follow us through the blog. Please pray for their safe travels! Next stop: LOS ANGELES, CA. Click here to register

Master Your Craft Seminar Update - Chicago, IL

GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES!
Hello everyone, this is Kenny Kim reporting live from Master Your Craft Seminar. Not to be bias but I think this seminar has been by far the best one yet. With sold out crowd (100+), some even camped out 6:30am in the morning to the best seat in the house. Cameras were clicking everywhere and people were laughing, learning, networking, and sharing! I really encourage everyone that attended the seminar to leave comments on mine, Mike or Bob's blog to let not only them but everyone know how it was. We still have three cities left and we want everyone to get in on the action before it's too late!

Big thanks goes out to Maureen, Lisa & Rachel from GraphiStudio, Martin from Apple, and the staff at Calumet for coming out to make this event a huge success! Next stop: DALLAS TX. Click here to register

Hey folks. This is Kenny updating for Mike & Bob again. We wrapped up the East Coast part of our tour with Hartford, CT. Folks there were great! We are having so much fun sharing and networking with everyone (as you can tell by my lack of speed on updating the blog).

We are entering our second half of this tour and can't wait to meet more great photographers. Our next stop is Chicago - the biggest group so far. In the meantime, enjoy these images of the wonderful folks in CT:

Thank you everyone for coming out. We had such invaluable time connecting with everyone. Good times!

Master Your Craft Seminar Update - New York

Hey everyone! This is Kenny Kim again blogging on this tour for MIke. We took some time off last week to spend some quality time with our family. We are now back on the road refreshed and pumped for the second half of our tour. Yesterday's seminar in the "City that Never Sleeps" was a blast! We met some wonderful photographers - from people just starting out to veterans in this league! Martin from Apple stopped by and gave us an awesome presentation on the new Aperture 2.0. So many of us got excited about this new release! Michelle & Becky from GraphiStudio were on site helping us make sure that the event ran smoothly. All of us were blown away by the turn out. We felt such positive energy from this group!

Our next stop: Hartford, CT. Be sure to visit Master Your Craft website to find out more information about this event. It's not too late to register! Here are some images and a slideshow to help recap the event.

Please feel free to let us know how this experience was for you by leaving comments here). We look forward to seeing your business grow in the future as you continue to "Master Your Craft!"

On another exciting note, Mike just released his June 4-day Intensive Workshop! As a past attendee, I cannot stress how important this workshop is for your business! Click here to find out more information. This workshop was released just today and 5 seats have already been filled!

It's Snowing in Hartford!

Julie would really love this. She loves watching snow and she loves the rain. I can't think of anything better in life than hanging out with my wife in our living room with the fireplace going watching a movie while it's raining outside. She gets so excited when it starts to rain and it's so cute.

God is good. Life is good. I wish I was home right now reading a book to Aidan or tickling Logan to hear his contagious laughter. This tour is going so well. I am meeting so many good people and making some new friends along the way. I am really enjoying getting to know Bob. He's really a great guy with a lot of great stories. He's someone I think I'll be friends with for a long time.

We are in Hartford, CT at the Doubletree by Bradley International Airport. If you're in the area, come out and join us!

Here's a very cool quote from Mar McCoy about the workshop we did in Baltimore. Thanks for your kind words Mark!

Mark McCoy said...
I recently had the awesome opportunity to learn from two of the best on this tour at the Baltimore stop. It far, far surpassed my expectations. They opened my mind and creativity, and filled it with a new drive and passion. What I really liked most is Mike and Bob were just regular guys, they really were warm and personable. They did not make us all feel like underlings who should be thankful they took the time to give us a few crumbs of their vast photographic knowledge. On the contrary they took the time to insure we all were clear on things every step of the way, in a most welcoming fashion. I look forward to seeing them next time with a better body of work to show how much I gained . Thanks again guys. Mark McCoy

Aperture 2 Released!!

It's like my birthday has come early this year!  Apple just released the new and greatly improved Aperture 2!  I am proud to be on the Aperture Advisory Board and have had the privilege of being a part of this new version.  One thing about this experience that really blows me away is how closely Apple has listened to us through this process.  They have exceeded my expectations in every way!  The most significant improvements are in it's speed (it's so fast!!), it's new RAW processor, and the entirely new simplified and intuitive interface.  There are more than 100 new features so click here to see the list.

If you'd like to see a live demonstration of this groundbreaking new release, you can see it in six more cities with me and Bob Davis on our Master Your Craft Tour.

Master Your Craft Seminar Update - Baltimore, MD

Hey everyone! This is Kenny Kim updating for Mike again. We had a great time out in Baltimore, MD! This was the first time Bob & Mike had done a seminar in Baltimore so we weren't sure of what kind of crowd to expect. But they were both surprised by the enthusiasm and support that people showed. They were all eager to learn and network with each other. We got to reconnect with some old friends and definitely made some new friends!

If you have not signed up for this seminar yet, it is still not too late! We still have the following cities left in our tour. Do yourself a favor and come out to this event. You won't regret it. On The Road...

Hi guys, this is Kenny Kim again. Just wanted to give you a glimpse of what it's like being on the road with these guys. Let's just say things aren't always what they seem... :) Here's an excerpt from today: We have two awesome reps from GraphiStudio helping us out in Michelle & Julie. We stayed up getting work done in prepping for the next seminar. In the morning, we got up and hit the road heading to Baltimore... So here we are all traveling together:

On our way to the airport...

We were a bit crammed...

Looks like Hannah Montana is coming to concert...

That plane was way to small for Mike...

Boys will be boys...

Flyin' high....

Michelle made us carry all her luggage...

What a big luggage...

Bob was about to get arrested by this security guard...

Mike emailed me these photos and I had to post them. Few of his fans that were at the workshop yesterday took a photo with him and fell in love with his sweater - so they sent this to Mike. Pretty creative & funny! :)

Packing Light

Master Your Craft Seminar with Bob Davis & Mike Colón

Hello everyone, this is Kenny Kim updating for Mike. Mike & Bob just finished their second seminar in their 9 city tour. Uncle Ray did a nice job covering the event in Miami. I was able to join them in Charlotte, NC and will be touring with them for the next 5 cities.

Neither one of us have visited Charlotte before but we were surprised by so many friendly folks! Bob & Mike had a great workshop as they tag-teamed together to go over so many things. I was able to observe the crowd and they were soaking in every morsel of information that they had to offer. Apple rep also gave a quick presentation about Aperture and GraphiStudio was there to show some cool sample albums.

Afterwards we raffled away some cool prizes that were provided for us by our sponsors (ipod, software, books, DVD's, shirts, etc.) Then Bob gave a quick lighting demonstration for night shooting. Then a group of us went out to eat at UNO's pizzeria afterwards and had a great time. Thanks to everyone that came out. We had such a blast and look forward to connecting with everyone in the future.

Feel free to let us know how the workshop was for you. Here are some images that highlight the day. Click on the collage to see a bigger version:
